Why do we choose to walk through life so blind?
Frozen hearts and empty minds.
It's everywhere but we still don't see,
And I blame you and you blame me.

Something else inside me starts to die

Why are we raised to pledge allegiance
To a flag that rapes and bleeds us,
And we're all free, or so we're told.
A country with a corrupted soul.
And everyday we chase that dream,
With empty eyes and painted smiles
And everyday we wait to die,
Still no one cares and I'm just as guilty.

Compassion is a myth,
